surprise

I finished up this runner last week and sent it off to the new owner.

It may be there by now. I hope I'm not ruining the surprise, but I'm not very good at surprises.

Probably related: I'm not a shop for xmas gifts in July kindof girl. If I did that - they would be July presents. I just can't keep it a secret for that long.

I LOVE the border fabric. It's one of my favorite color combos - dark gray and dusty yellow. It's so different, i think it just works. There are polkas on the binding too, but those kind-of fade away. And now a look at some loopy stitching:
