alpine fall

Happy Autumn!

Last weekend we got a peek at the brilliance of the season with a short trip to Breckenridge CO. It was beautiful (if just a little hot) with the aspens just starting to turn in-between the swaths of pine trees. It reminded me of fall up north and our wedding, which was just three short years and three days before the nuptials we had traveled to witness. The day was clear, the scenery grand, the wedding perfect. Thanks to everyone - we had a great time!

Fall highlights from the trip:

I wore a new sweater dress.
Discovered the fall hershey's kisses. I like the caramel apple and can eat one or two of the pumpkin spice. Someone can eat my candy corn flavor (but I would give you the real deal too).
Drank some fall brew from Breckenridge Brewery.
The temps dipped at night enough for crisp mountain sleeping with the windows open. Under the greatest down comforter.
Oktoberfest was in full swing on the streets - enjoyed a brat with kraut while watching the keg bowling.
Those yellow trees.

Now we are back, busy trying to catch up and ready to enjoy fall in this neck of the woods. Oktoberfest and apple orchards here I come!
