I just hung this chalkboard up in our kitchen after painting the walls and plan on using it for grocery lists and notes to each other. Once upon a time, it hung in the husband's college apartment(s) and was the media to trade notes back and forth between room mates. There are a few things, such as this chalkboard, that I was ready to purge when we moved in (ready to put college life behind us), but I'm really glad it was hidden in a closet instead. Now it has a new life.
